    Principal’s Corner

    Please join us this Thursday for Open House from 6:00-7:30pm.

    6:00pm-6:30pm Pizza dinner in the Ottertorium

    6:30pm-7:30pm Classroom visits and presentations

    During the classroom visits, your children will give you a classroom tour and show you their classwork, and you will have an opportunity to meet the teacher. Teachers will also give a brief presentation during this time.

    October 19th, 6:00pm-8:00pm: The first Olympic Hills movie night of the year will be Friday, October 19th, and will feature the movie Coco (PG), in which a young aspiring musician explores his family history and culture in pursuit of his dream.  The doors will open at 5:30pm and the movie will start at 6:00pm.  Feel free to bring a blanket, pillow and picnic supper.  Suggested donation of $5 per family.  Popcorn, snacks and baked goods will be available for purchase.  Please note that supervision is not provided; all students must be accompanied by an adult.  We hope to see you there!

    Free English as a Second Language classes: Thursdays from 8-10 am, starting October 25th, in the OHE Family Resource Center (across from the Main Office).  Non-school aged children welcome.  Please contact the PTA if you are interested!  Volunteers for child care needed.

    Otter Gear order forms are here!  Cash or Checks made out to OHE PTA accepted.  You can also pay by credit card at Open House October 18th and Movie Night October 19th.

    Important Announcements

    Parent Connector University has come to the North End!  Parent Connector University is a Seattle Public School program that teaches parents how to become savvy with navigating the educational system, so they can be advocates for their children and their communities.   There is still room for your families to join this program which takes place at Northgate Elementary from 3:00pm-5:00pm.  Please feel free to invite your families to join!  Contact Northgate Elementary at 206-452-4180 for more information.
