    Principal’s Corner

    Olympic Hills Families,

    We have just over a week of learning remaining to this school year.  Please remind your children of your expectations so they can finish the year in a graceful, kind, productive manner.  Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff and community.

    Family Events and Activities

    Weekly gardening party.  Please join us in pulling weeds from the school grounds Mondays from 2:00pm-3:30pm throughout June. Gloves and tools will be provided. Many hands make light work!

    Volunteer survey.  If you volunteered during the school year, we'd love your feedback. The 5-minute survey is available in English and Spanish at .

    Memory Books.  Memory Books will be delivered to classrooms on Thursday, 6/20!  We have a few extra books available for purchase for $12.  Please contact New this year: You can order directly from the memory book company.  More information about ordering available in the Main Office.

    After School Enrichment for 2019-20.  If you have a talent, interest, or skill that you can teach to a group of students in 7-10 classes, and/or if you want to serve as a support adult in a class, please notify us at the email below.

    Thank you for an incredible year of partnership at OHE!  The PTA board has loved serving this community and getting to know you all.  Wishing you a wonderful summer break and looking forward to a great next year!  Please send us your program ideas, feedback, and anything you think we can do to better support our school community! 

    Information about Camp Orkila.  For the 2019-2020 school year, Camp Orkila will be happening early, so stay tuned for news about the upcoming September trip!  Starting in 2019 and going forward, Camp Orkila will be a 5th grade only excursion.

    What delicious foods we ate at the Multicultural Potluck Night! If your dish was enjoyed by all, please share the recipe so we can put it in the Olympic Hills Elementary Cookbook, coming in 2020.     June 27th      Last day of school! Students are dismissed 1:25pm.

    Important Announcements

    All library books are due! Please return books immediately. Thank you for your help in keeping our library in great shape for all students to use.

    FIELD DAY will be June 20th

    1:00pm-2:00pm. Students will be able to roam around and participate in different fun stations. The theme of field day is Purple and Gold(yellow). Students are encouraged to wear school colors. If parents would like to volunteer, please contact Mrs. Meyer at

    TALENT SHOW - Students can sign up for this year’s Talent Show starting Friday, June 7th.  Tryouts will be held during school hours.  Students will be responsible for their own talent and practicing that talent for the try outs which will be June 20th and 21st during students’ lunch recess. The actual TALENT SHOW will be on June 27th at 8:35am. Parents are welcome to come watch the Talent Show.

    Lost and Found: Please check the Lost and Found located in the hall before you enter the cafeteria and see if any coats, hats, gloves, lunchboxes, or other items belong to you child.
