    Olympic Hills families,

    I enjoyed seeing so many students and families at the Pancake Breakfast on Saturday! Thank you for coming out to support our school. I hope to see many of you at movie night this Friday!

    Family Events and Activities

    December 7th, 8:30am-10:30am: After Friday assembly, please join us in the main office lounge for our monthly Work Party. Help make our teachers’ jobs easier by completing projects like photocopying, collating, stapling, and prepping materials for lessons. We have toys to entertain younger siblings, and coffee and snacks for volunteers.

    December 7th, 5:30pm: Join us this Friday for another Olympic Hills PTA movie night! We will be showing the movie Inside Out (PG), an outstandingly original, heartfelt story from Pixar about growing up and learning to handle your biggest emotions. The doors will open at 5:30pm and the movie will start at 6:00pm. Feel free to bring a blanket, pillow and picnic supper. There is a $5.00 suggested donation per family. Popcorn, snacks and baked goods will be available for purchase. Please note that supervision is not provided; all students must be accompanied by an adult. We hope to see you there!

    Important Announcements

    Special Education Resource Fairs

    Parents of students receiving special education services have been invited to two upcoming resource fairs to meet and talk to representatives from numerous SPS departments. Families can ask questions, collect information, and learn face-to-face from the people who help coordinate services to support their students. Special Education Directors and other staff will be onsite during this open-house style event as well, so please  attend one or both events (see below for details). Childcare will be provided for both events.

    Preschool Parking Lot: The Preschool parking lot is only for preschool families to park in when dropping off or picking up their students.  Please do not park there if you don’t have a student in Preschool.

    The Hour of Code is a global movement introducing tens of millions of students worldwide to computer science, inspiring kids to learn more, breaking stereotypes,

    and leaving them empowered. 

    Our school will participate in the Hour of Code from November 26th– December 14th. Students will be able to access their accounts from our school website, for the rest of the year.
